John is a successful entrepreneur with a long track record of leading and developing companies through organic growth, mergers, acquisitions and sales. Beginning his career in a multinational he began his entrepreneurial journey by conducting a “start-up” with partners initially operating from the front room of a house. Since then he has built, managed, bought and sold companies in the UK and Europe, mainly in the IT sector, as well as conducting several business turnarounds. John has chaired a number of technology businesses in both an executive and non-executive capacity. He is known as a tenacious leader who looks at a set of problems, clears the noise around them and focuses on what the real issues are to deliver rapid and sustainable profit and growth.
Jeremy spent the best part of 39 years at PwC and its predecessor firms. He started in audit and after 7 years transferred into the, then nascent, tax practice and was admitted to the partnership 4 years later. Jeremy held a number of management and leadership roles, initially in the UK and then European tax practices and then across lines of service in financial services leadership roles globally. He also spent 4 years living in Japan as a member of the Japan firm executive and travelled extensively in Europe, Asia and the Americas. During his career with PwC Jeremy was extensively engaged in transaction work both in the UK and overseas.
Christopher is a London-based lawyer and independent consultant/investor, with a distinguished track-record as both lawyer and financier. He has been practising law for nearly 30 years, in the international finance, corporate and commercial law fields, and has worked at four of the world’s largest law firms (Linklaters, Dentons, Vinson & Elkins and Norton Rose Fulbright). He was a partner and team leader for many years, building and managing teams in London. He has worked on transactions all over the world, with a combined value in excess of $75 billion. He was also for several years a director and investment banker at the (then) pre-eminent London investment bank, S. G. Warburg (now UBS).
He now combines his advisory work with venture-capital investment and entrepreneurship, and has been involved in numerous ventures and start-ups. He has degrees from Oxford University, the University of Westminster and the Inns of Court School of Law.
Kim brings some 40 years’ professional financial expertise, focused in two extremely dynamic sectors – FMCG and mobile telecoms, gained in many parts of the world. In this, Kim has acquired rich experience of businesses operating in diverse environments, most often in difficult trading and control settings; he also has acquired valuable experience of M&A transactions first-hand. This has given Kim the ability to focus on the key issues, that has enabled him to add significant and sustainable value over time.
Kim has acquired this expertise by working in many countries around the world, often for global blue-chip entities. He is extremely detail oriented, pragmatic and focused on maintaining excellent levels of corporate governance, as part of his professional approach to business.
